Post-ticketing service fees are charges levied by Hydra Travels Inc. (operating as Tripphilia.com) for the professional agency services required to process changes, cancellations, refunds, re-issuances, and other administrative actions on a confirmed travel booking after the ticket has been issued. These fees compensate our experienced travel agents for the time, expertise, and technology resources used to manage your booking on your behalf through airline reservation systems and Global Distribution Systems (GDS).
It is critical to understand the following:
- Post-ticketing service fees are charged by Tripphilia.com (Hydra Travels Inc.) — they are OUR agency fees, not airline fees.
- Airline-imposed fees (change fees, cancellation penalties, fare differences) are SEPARATE and are charged in addition to our service fees.
- Tripphilia.com is NOT an airline and does not set or control airline-imposed fees.
- Our service fees are non-refundable once a service has been rendered, regardless of the outcome of the underlying airline or supplier transaction.
- All fees are quoted in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.
- Fees apply per-passenger per-ticket unless explicitly noted otherwise.

Airline Fees vs. Tripphilia.com Service Fees — Key Distinction
Customers frequently confuse airline-imposed fees with our agency service fees. The distinction is critically important. When you request a change or cancellation through Tripphilia.com, two separate categories of fees may apply:

Example: You book a domestic flight and wish to change the date. If the airline charges a $75 change fee and the new fare is $50 higher, your total cost would be: $75 (airline change fee) + $50 (fare difference) + $35 (Tripphilia post-ticketing service fee) = $160 total. Tripphilia's $35 is our agency fee for executing the change on your behalf through the GDS.
When Are Post-Ticketing Fees Charged?
Post-ticketing service fees are applied at the time the applicable service is requested and confirmed. The fee is charged to the original payment method on file. For telephone requests, the fee will be quoted to you verbally and must be verbally authorized before any service is rendered. For online or email requests, the fee is disclosed in the service confirmation notice before action is taken.
- Fees are charged at the time of service request — not at time of ticket purchase.
- You will always be informed of the applicable service fee BEFORE we proceed.
- No fee is charged without your explicit authorization.
- Our service fee is due immediately upon authorization and is non-refundable once the service has been initiated, even if the underlying airline request is later declined.
- If Tripphilia.com is unable to fulfill your requested service due to airline restrictions or availability, our service fee will be refunded within five (5) business days.
Fee Waivers and Exceptions
In limited circumstances, Tripphilia.com may waive its post-ticketing service fee. The following situations may qualify for a fee waiver or reduction at our discretion:

Waiver of a fee in one instance does not create any precedent or obligation to waive fees in future transactions.
Non-Refundability of Service Fees
Tripphilia.com's post-ticketing service fees are non-refundable under the following circumstances:
- Once a change, cancellation, or other request has been submitted to the airline or supplier on your behalf, the service fee is earned and non-refundable — regardless of whether the airline approves, partially approves, or declines the request.
- If you change your mind after authorizing a service request, the fee is non-refundable even if processing has not yet been completed.
- If the airline issues a travel credit rather than a cash refund on a cancelled ticket, Tripphilia's service fee remains non-refundable.
- Service fees are not refundable if a booking was cancelled due to your failure to comply with fare rules, travel document requirements, or other conditions of carriage.
